A rounder shape, with room for a wider fit

Finding large eyeglass frames for wide faces shouldn’t limit your choice of style. The Scholar brings rounded lenses and a bold frame to our extra-wide 165mm range.

Its distinctive keyhole-style bridge and curved shape offer a different look from the Classic and Gent. Choose it if you prefer your prescription glasses to make more of a statement, while keeping the width you need.

Pick your frame colour, then customise your prescription lenses. Standard single vision lenses are included, with bifocal, lens-thickness and coating upgrades available at extra cost.

 Try the fit before ordering

Your prescription lenses are made specifically for you, so it makes sense to feel confident about the frame first.

UK prescription customers can request up to two black sample frames to try at home for 14 days. Check how they sit on your nose, around your temples and behind your ears, then return them by tracked post before ordering your prescription pair.

The samples are black, regardless of the colour you may later choose.

Use our Fitting Guide as a starting point, or contact us to arrange a try-on and get help choosing your frame.

FAQs

Are the Scholar glasses genuinely wide, or just an oversized style?

The Scholar has a 165mm overall frame width, so it offers an extra-wide fit as well as a bold, rounded appearance. Its shape differs from the Classic and Gent, even though all three XXL frames share the same overall width.

Choose between them based on the shape you prefer and how the frame fits your face. Our Fitting Guide provides a starting point, and UK prescription customers can request up to two sample frames to compare at home before ordering.

What lenses are included in the starting price?

The starting price includes the Classic XXL frame and standard 1.5 single vision prescription lenses with an anti-scratch coating. Bifocal lenses, thinner lens options and additional coatings cost extra. Use Select lenses to explore the options and see your updated total before adding your glasses to the cart.
