Fit and construction

An extra-wide frame designed for big heads and wide faces, with lightweight construction and spring hinges for flexibility at the temples.

Compared with Classic XXL, The Gent has a shallower frame and a wider bridge. It offers the same overall width with a different shape and fit.

Lenses

The starting price includes standard 1.5 single vision prescription lenses with an anti-scratch coating.

Bifocal lenses, thinner lens options and additional coatings are available at extra cost. Choose your options using the Select lenses button; the price updates as you make your selections.

A microfibre pouch is included with your glasses. A hard case is sold separately and is available at half price when purchased with any pair.

Delivery and Returns

Prescription orders

Please allow up to 14 calendar days for UK delivery from the date we receive your prescription. Standard UK tracked delivery is free.

Prescription returns

We offer a 50% goodwill refund on the amount paid for your frame and prescription lenses, including lens-thickness upgrades. Paid coating upgrades are excluded. Contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery; return conditions apply.

This offer does not limit your statutory rights if your glasses are faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described. Please read our full Returns Policy before ordering.

If you need oversized prescription frames but prefer a shallower shape, The Gent offers a different take on XXL eyewear.

Its 165mm overall width matches Classic XXL, while the lower frame height and wider bridge change how it looks and sits on your face. It’s an alternative for people who need extra width without the taller Classic profile.

Choose your frame colour, then customise your prescription lenses. Standard single vision lenses are included, with bifocal, lens-thickness and coating upgrades available at extra cost.

Your prescription lenses are made specifically for you, so it makes sense to feel confident about the frame first.

UK prescription customers can request up to two black sample frames to try at home for 14 days. Check how they sit on your nose, around your temples and behind your ears, then return them by tracked post before ordering your prescription pair.

The samples are black, regardless of the colour you may later choose.

 How does The Gent differ from Classic XXL prescription glasses? 

Both frames are 165mm wide. The Gent has a shallower 50mm frame height and a wider 20mm bridge, compared with Classic XXL’s 55mm frame height and 18mm bridge.

Choose between them based on the shape you prefer and how the frame fits your face. Our Fitting Guide provides a starting point, and UK prescription customers can request up to two sample frames to compare at home before ordering.

 What lenses are included in the starting price? 

The starting price includes the Classic XXL frame and standard 1.5 single vision prescription lenses with an anti-scratch coating. Bifocal lenses, thinner lens options and additional coatings cost extra. Use Select lenses to explore the options and see your updated total before adding your glasses to the cart.

 How do I order and send you my prescription? 

Choose your frame colour, then tap Select lenses and follow the steps to choose your lenses and upgrades. You can upload a photo or PDF of your prescription, enter the details manually, or choose to email it to us after ordering.

If you choose to send it later, email your prescription to info@fadeddays.co.uk with your order number. Please allow up to 14 calendar days for UK delivery from the date we receive your prescription.
