Fit and construction

A wide frame designed for larger heads, with lightweight construction and spring hinges for flexibility at the temples.

The Classic XL is 10mm narrower overall than Classic XXL. It offers the same familiar style in a smaller size for people who need extra room without the full XXL width.

Lenses

The starting price includes standard 1.5 single vision, non-polarised prescription sun lenses with full UV400 protection and an anti-scratch coating.

Polarised prescription lenses are available as an upgrade to help reduce reflected glare from surfaces such as roads and water.

Bifocal lenses, thinner lens options and additional coatings are also available at extra cost. Choose your options using the Select lenses button; the price updates as you make your selections.

Choose your preferred frame and lens-colour combination before starting lens selection.

Included

A microfibre pouch is included with your sunglasses. A hard case is sold separately and is available at half price when purchased with any pair.

Delivery and Returns

Prescription orders

Please allow up to 14 calendar days for UK delivery from the date we receive your prescription. Standard UK tracked delivery is free.

Prescription returns

We offer a 50% goodwill refund on the amount paid for your frame and prescription lenses, including lens-thickness upgrades. Paid coating upgrades are excluded. Contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery; return conditions apply.

This offer does not limit your statutory rights if your glasses are faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described. Please read our full Returns Policy before ordering.

Finding prescription sunglasses for large heads starts with choosing the right width. The Classic XL pairs our original frame shape with a wide 155mm fit—10mm narrower than Classic XXL.

If standard sunglasses feel tight but XXL frames feel too roomy, the XL is worth comparing. Check the overall width, bridge and arm measurements against glasses you already wear comfortably, or try a sample frame before ordering.

Choose your frame and lens-colour combination, then customise your prescription lenses. Standard single vision sun lenses include full UV400 protection, with optional polarisation to help reduce reflected glare from roads and water.

Bifocal lenses, thinner lens options and additional coatings are also available at extra cost.

Your prescription lenses are made specifically for you, so it makes sense to feel confident about the frame first.

UK prescription customers can request up to two black sample frames to try at home for 14 days. Check how they sit on your nose, around your temples and behind your ears, then return them by tracked post before ordering your prescription pair.

The samples are black, regardless of the colour you may later choose.

 Should I choose Classic XL or Classic XXL prescription sunglasses? 

Classic XL measures 155mm across the front, while Classic XXL measures 165mm. The XL may suit you better if standard sunglasses feel too narrow but the XXL feels too wide. Compare this with the width of glasses that already fit you comfortably, and use our Fitting Guide for a suggested size. Head shape and bridge fit also matter. UK prescription customers can request sample frames to try at home before ordering.

Choose your frame colour, then tap Select lenses and follow the steps to choose your lenses and upgrades. You can upload a photo or PDF of your prescription, enter the details manually, or choose to email it to us after ordering.

If you choose to send it later, email your prescription to info@fadeddays.co.uk with your order number. Please allow up to 14 calendar days for UK delivery from the date we receive your prescription.
