Fitting Guide

Find a suggested frame size for your sunglasses or prescription glasses. Start by measuring your head, then use our size calculator below.

Your measurement is a starting point—head shape, nose bridge and your preferred fit also affect which frame feels right.

How to measure your head

  1. Wrap a soft tape measure around your head, just above your eyebrows and ears.
  2. Keep the tape level and snug, without pulling it tight.
  3. Measure twice and note the result in centimetres. Enter it into the calculator below.

No tape measure? Use a piece of non-stretchy string, mark where the ends meet, then measure it against a ruler.

Frame width is the overall width across the front of the glasses. These recommendations are a starting point—head shape, nose bridge and frame design also affect fit.

Compare with glasses you already own

If you have glasses that fit comfortably, their overall frame width can help you compare sizes.

Measure straight across the front of the frame, from its widest outer edge on one side to the other. Use a ruler and record the width in millimetres.

Check the overall frame width listed on your chosen product. A similar width is a useful starting point, although the bridge, arms and frame shape can make two styles feel different.

The numbers printed inside an arm usually describe lens width, bridge width and arm length—not the overall frame width.

 How should your glasses fit?

Your glasses should feel secure and comfortable, without squeezing or needing constant adjustment.

• Temples and ears: The arms should rest comfortably without pinching. If they bow noticeably outwards when worn, the frame may be too narrow.

• Nose bridge: The frame should sit comfortably without digging in or repeatedly sliding down. A different bridge shape may help more than changing the frame width.

• Cheeks: Check that the frame doesn’t press uncomfortably against your cheeks when you smile.

• Movement: Gently turn your head and look down. Your glasses should stay reasonably stable without feeling tight.

Bigger isn’t always better. If a frame slips or feels loose, a smaller size or a different style may suit you better.
